Lakewood School District Partners with OHI to Host Vaccination Event

The Lakewood School District has partnered with Ocean Health Initiatives in hosting a vaccination event to assist in the efforts to vaccinate as many eligible individuals as possible. 

The event will take place in the Lakewood High School parking lot on Saturday, January 30th from 8 AM to 5 PM and again on Saturday, February 27th from 8 AM to 5 PM, and will be administering first and second doses of Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine.

Additionally, the District is reporting that as of Wednesday, 108 public school staff members had been vaccinated, and another 304 are on the waiting list to receive a vaccine.

    Vaccines are only to be distributed to those 65 and older with underlying health conditions and Healthcare workers. How are teachers, security guards and therapist allowed to get it? That many employees have underlying health conditions
