Nearly 100 Public School Staff Vaccinated Against Covid-19

A large number of Lakewood School District staff are seeking and obtaining Covid-19 vaccines with the help of CHEMED, which has acted as a collaborative partner with the District since the pandemic’s inception in March.

So far, approximately 100 Lakewood public school staff have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, including nurses and staff who are deemed high-risk. Those numbers are expected to rise as New Jersey expands the pool of individuals eligible to be administered a vaccine, which will hopefully soon include all teachers.

CHEMED has tested and treated hundreds of public and non-public school students and, along with the Ocean County Department of Health, has been guiding school administrators and officials on the safest practices for education in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis.
