Shadows Appear In The Darkness At Famous Kever

[COMMUNICATED]

This Tuesday, shadows will fall on the walls of the historic resting place of Rabi Yehuda Bar Ilai. With great passion, a group of the most esteemed rabbis in Israel will cry out to the heavens, tears welling in their eyes. They will pray for two groups of people who seem to be different but who are deeply connected: The poor families of Israel, and those who are able to help them. The group will include Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi, The Admor Mi’Biale, Rav Elimelech Biderman, Rav Binyan Finkel, and more.

It is customary for Jews around the world to recite “Parshas HaMon” at this time of year, a prayer for financial security. The rabbanim will recite Parshas HaMon during their gathering while praying for each donor individually by name.

With an air of solemnity, the rabbis will also draft and sign a legal document which they are referring to as The “Shtar HaParnassah.” It will be a written document, written among witnesses so as to be halachically binding, blessing donors that they should have abundant financial success. The shtar will serve as a powerful reminder of the agreement between the donor and the rabbanim, and the rabbanim and Hashem.

Financial security is one of the most elusive of all blessings. As many around the world work hard and earn little, while others rest in comfort while enjoying abundance, it is clear that money comes from something beyond nature. Donors can sign the contract here to enter into this momentous partnership.
