The United States recorded its 500,000th death from Covid-19 on Monday, the highest death toll of any country worldwide, a little over a year after the first coronavirus death was recorded in California.
In an interview he gave just prior to the US hitting the grim milestone, Dr. Anthony Fauci called the death toll “stunning.”
“it’s something that is stunning when you look at the numbers, almost unbelievable, but it’s true,” Fauci said. “This is a devastating pandemic, and it’s historic. People will be talking about this decades and decades and decades from now.”
In positive news, new cases, hospitalizations, and deaths have been consistently dropping over the past few weeks, with cases dropping 40% over the past two weeks alone, and 70% since January. Hospitalizations have fallen around 50% since January, with approximately 62,000 Covid-19 people currently hospitalized for coronavirus issues.
With over a million vaccines being administered each day in the United States, experts hope and expect that we will be out of the woods by the summer, but Dr. Fauci said that the immunizations are likely not the cause of the recent drop in new cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.
“We had a big peak, and we’re starting to come down,” Fauci told CBS’ Meet the Press. “Certainly, the number of people that have been infected are contributing to that, also some contribution with vaccines. Not a lot, I don’t think we vaccinated enough people yet to get the herd immunity. I think you’re seeing the natural peaking and coming down.”

If there are not 1/2 million dead from this in the USA, there are close to it.
I suggest you go to the CDC website and take a look at their statistics for expected deaths this past year versus actual deaths and you will find that there are an alarming number of excess deaths in the past year over last year. The only explanation for this anomaly is the pandemic.
If you really took this seriously as you say you do, you would not dismiss this out of hand.
Why don’t you take a look at the alarming death toll in Israel with so many elderly from the hareidi community? Is that also fake news.
