At least one signature on an alleged letter banning a Lag Ba’omer event in Lakewood was forged, Askonim tell TLS.
Askonim say an individual going around trying to gain signatures for an event forged a signature of a large Lakewood Mosad in an attempt to get others to join.
”It’s pure Sheker,” said one Askan who spoke to the Rosh Mosad who had “signed” the paper.
The forgery brings into question the overall validity of the letter said to carry signatures from various Roshei Mosdos.
As earlier reported, there was no advertised concert in Lakewood, nor was any event scheduled to take place in the stadium. It appears, Askonim tell TLS, an individual took issue with the separate-seating event, and went on to make false claims about it in an effort to sabotage it.
As originally planned, the Lag Ba’omer event is scheduled to take place Friday in the parking lot of the Blue Claws – the same lot where BMG events, Dr. Roberts events, Minyan Shelanu events, Tomchei Shabbos events and many other events are held.

Just thinking… maybe TLS can make a simple site with NO ADS or anything and on that site post all real kol korei letters etc.. and all Robo calls and anyone who desires to check it can do so!

Wouldnt it be great if there was a way to verify signatures like to allow folks to sign things in a way that is not forgeable and is traceable.
Until we can solve this forging issue everyone’s trust will be undermined. We need to verify.

Our Asskanim are Tzadikim and they would never fall for the Yetzer Hara of ka’as. They did not get angry, they would never do such a thing. This is impossible.

The local yeshivas copied the letter and gave it out to the children to bring home. It would be nice if the situation is reversed with another letter to be given out today!
