New Jersey exceeded 5 million Covid-19 vaccine doses administered as of Friday mid-morning, Governor Murphy announced today. 

According to the governor, 5,141,870 total doses have been administered, with 2,030,971 New Jerseyans being fully vaccinated.

The state also reported 3,523 new positive coronavirus test results, as New Jersey continues to be one of the hardest-hit US states. A recent report stated that New Jersey, New York, and three other states have accounted for approximately 50% of new infections in the United States in the past week, this despite NJ and NY having some of the strictest coronavirus restrictions in the nation.
