The second Yahrtzeit of R’ Mordechai Neustadt Z’l, legendary leader of the Va’ad Le’hatzolas Nidchei Yisrael, will be marked with the opening of Kollel Zichron Mordechai in his memory. The Neustadt family, led by Mrs. Alice Neustadt, will perpetuate the life of their father and grandfather by founding the Kollel which will be dedicated to learning Gemara in depth with an emphasis on understanding the sugyos alibah dehilchasah.

R’ Mordechai Z’l, who spent his entire life working to spread awareness of Torah to thousands of our brethren who were not given the opportunity to live as Torah Jews, was always careful to ensure that nothing got in the way of his own kevias itim. Limmud Hatorah was truly the essence of his life.

The Kollel will be located in the Pine River VIllage Shul, of which R’ Mordechai was an integral member, and is to be led by his esteemed son, Rav Doniel Neustadt Shlita, Rav of the Nusach Ashkenaz minyan in the shul. The limud for the inaugural zman of the kollel will be Meseches Shabbos.
