Today, Thursday Gimmel Iyar, is the 96th yartzeit of the venerated tzaddik and baal chessed Reb Shaya ben Reb Moshe zt”l of Kerestir. Despite all the years that have passed, Reb Shayale continues to inspire yidden around the globe, from all backgrounds, as a result of the chessed he did throughout his life and the countless yeshuos that yidden have seen in his zechus through today.
