A Seudas Hodaah was held in Lakewood this evening for Avi Abboud, the founder of Jersey Shore Hatzalah and member of Hatzolah of Central Jersey.
Over the last few years Avi was hospitalized multiple times due to various emergencies, including a massive heart attack which required him to undergo a triple bypass surgery and more.
The event was attended by friends and family and friends Deal and Lakewood.
Avi addressed the crowd, speaking about his heart attack, the recovery, and how friends from the Deal and Lakewood communities were there for him every step of the way.
But as Motty Twerski of Hatzolah of Central Jersey stated, this was not just a Seudas Hodaah for Avi, this was a Seudas Hodaah for everybody, thanking Hashem for giving us the ability to enjoy his presence and what he does for Lakewood, Deal, and beyond.
Rabbi Aboud, Avi’s uncle also addressed the crowd, noting that just like a Korban which required 40 Chalos and needed to be shared to avoid it being left over, a Seudas Hodaah was meant to be able to share with family and friends, to be able to publicly thank Hashem for the Nissim He performs.
