VIDEO: Hundreds gather as firefighter injured during Lakewood wildfire is released from hospital

Hundreds gathered today as Brian Sauers, the firefighter injured during the wildfire in Lakewood last month, was released from the hospital.

Sauers, who serves in the State Forest Fire Service, suffered a medical episode during the wildfire, and was hospitalized since.

After wheeling him through the crowds, fellow Forest Fire Service members carried Sauers into a Forest Fire Service truck to bring him home. The truck was the same truck Sauers rode in while responding to the fire.
