Chaya, a busy mother of a young family in Lakewood, NJ is no stranger to kidney donation.
Her brother donated a number of years ago, and Chaya waited for a time that made sense for her family before registering as a donor.
When someone in the Lakewood community was in need of a kidney, a kidney drive was held to find a donor.
Chaya swabbed, and when that recipient received a kidney from a different donor, Chaya happily agreed to test for another recipient in Renewal’s system.
Today she feels privileged to be donating to Allen, a father, grandfather, great grandfather, (AND a father-law of a Renewal kidney donor) from Monsey, NY who feels very blessed to be receiving a kidney today.
Wishing you both an easy recovery. Renewal is unreal in the way they facilitate this tremendous mitzva. It’s a privilege to be a part of the Renewal family.

I myself received a kidney transplant 6 weeks ago, donated to me by my own brother, who is sitting and learning for the last 35 years.
When you give somebody a kidney, you are saving their life. Their life is totally changed.
Renewal is an amazing organization and if you want to change someone’s life, give them a call!
