BEWARE: Attempted luring incident in Toms River on Shabbos

There was an attempted luring incident in Toms River over Shabbos, the mother of one of the victims tells TLS.

At approximately 3:20 PM on Shabbos afternoon, a 10-year-old girl was pushing a toddler in a stroller in front of her home when she was stopped my driver who asked her if she wanted candy, the sister-in-law of the victim and mother of the child in the stroller said. Luckily, the girl was smart enough to run away.

“Parents, please be aware, this is happening right in front of peoples homes!” the mother said.

The suspect is being described as a white man wearing a mask, and driving a red car.

Anyone with information should call the Toms River Police Department.

    • It is NEVER ok for an adult to approach a child they do not know, ever, ever ever. Adults with no evil motive know better. Would you want your kids taking candy from a stranger?
