BREAKING: Summer Camps in NJ Won’t be Required to Mandate Masks

The New Jersey Department of Health has released new guidance saying that children attending summer camps in New Jersey will not be required to wear masks.

The guidance states that children will not be required to wear masks while at camp both indoors or outdoors, but unvaccinated campers are “encouraged” to wear masks while indoors.

The move follows increased blowback from parents and doctors alike over continued mask mandates on children, who have been shown to not be major spreaders of COVID-19, and for whom the illness has been statistically less dangerous than the flu.
