CHECK IT OUT: Black bear roams Lakewood; Message from Police Chief Greg Meyer [VIDEOS]

A black bear is roaming around Lakewood morning.

The bear was spotted in the New Central Avenue area shortly before 7:00 AM, and as late as 9:00 AM.

LPD Chief Greg Meyer stated: Please leave the bear alone – do not chase it, follow it, box it in, or attempt to feed it. It will return to the woods from where it came.

  4. All the construction is taking away the bears’, deer’s, and foxes’ etc. habitat. Maybe there should be no more development in Lakewood

  5. Maybe the bear should of ate some of the penguins running around Lakewood. Keep on reproducing and clearing away trees it’s only gonna get worse.

  6. did you know that black bears are not dangerous? well, according to park rangers, they are sweeter than puppies! hence, they have them as pets in Monsey all the time! maybe we should learn from them.

  7. I wrote something about no leadership….guess I was wrong…TLS showing some strong leadership by filtering out any comment that criticizes local leadership….
