A black bear is roaming around Lakewood morning.
The bear was spotted in the New Central Avenue area shortly before 7:00 AM, and as late as 9:00 AM.
LPD Chief Greg Meyer stated: Please leave the bear alone – do not chase it, follow it, box it in, or attempt to feed it. It will return to the woods from where it came.
That’s not a black bear. I’m almost certain it’s a polar bear which frequent Lakewood.
Can you tell us what part of Lakewood so we can be alert? I’d like to share with my neighbors but don’t want to scare them if it’s not near us.
I want you. No! I need you Mr. Mamag!!! Call me
Maybe this is where his home used to be. 🙁

Location looks like Adams St off Miller.
The bears were here before people. Please do some reading on being bear safe, and teach your children how to be bear safe.
How Profound !
This is definitely something we should bear in mind.

All the construction is taking away the bears’, deer’s, and foxes’ etc. habitat. Maybe there should be no more development in Lakewood

It is very rare for a bear to be south of 195 and east of the Turnpike. Were is this bear from?
Maybe the bear should of ate some of the penguins running around Lakewood. Keep on reproducing and clearing away trees it’s only gonna get worse.

did you know that black bears are not dangerous? well, according to park rangers, they are sweeter than puppies! hence, they have them as pets in Monsey all the time! maybe we should learn from them.
I wrote something about no leadership….guess I was wrong…TLS showing some strong leadership by filtering out any comment that criticizes local leadership….
