The family of the young man killed in the Lakewood accident on Friday is expressing their appreciation to the Lakewood community for their support.

After posting about the fundraiser on TLS, dozens from Lakewood and surrounding towns donated to the page in a show of support for the family.

On Sunday, the mother of the young victim reached out to a prominent Lakewood doctor to express her appreciation, which she said was very touching.
