JUST IN: Man airlifted to hospital after being extricated from cement truck in Lakewood [UPDATED- VIDEO]

[UPDATED] Emergency personnel in Lakewood are working to extricate a man stuck in a cement truck.

The accident occurred at a construction site shortly after 3:00 PM on 14th Street.

According to emergency personnel on scene, the 25-year-old man suffered serious injuries after getting stuck in the back of the truck.

A medevac was requested to airlift the patient to the hospital.

UPDATE: A source tells TLS the man may have been cleaning the truck when it suddenly turned on.

The patient was airlifted to JSUMC with serious injuries.

An investigation is underway.
