  1. Goose Gossage hereby endorses Jack for governor we need a common sense freedom abiding constitutionalist who isn’t power mad.

    Gossage out!

  2. This discussion is a waste of time. I have been following politics for the last 32 years and have not seen any difference who is either in the governors mansion or in the White House if you want to do Something constructive with your time, focus on Emuna. One second of connecting to Hashem, can do more for the world then thinking about or discussing politics for 235 years

    • Rabbi A Miller said it is an obligation of a Jew to vote. And he recommended we vote for the party that aligns with our values, not the one that gives us free things or seems nice, because that can be taken away.
Look at what happened in NY this year. Look at the targeting of frum people mostly by Democrats.

    • Really?

Yo really believe that things like the (second) Iraq War, the makeup of and supreme court rulings (about freedom of religion) the tax and spend policies etc. would all be the exact same no matter who was in the White House?

  3. This does not reflect NJ as a whole. Lakewood is a very strong Republican leaning town. I think a poll of the entire state of NJ would be much different.

  4. Phill Murphy has shown real friendship to Lakewood during the pandemic lockdowns, despite having tremendous pressure to treat us differently.

Even as a republican that has not voted for Murphy the first time, I would vote for him now.

    • Don’t be a fool. You seem to have a very short term memory here.

He got the Ocean County prosecutors to go after frum people, even threatening to call CPS on families because they had children around crowds larger than 10. Outside. And then he went and protested with 100s of people because BLM is more important than our Jewish weddings and davening and our kids learning in school.

He shut down our shuls, saying he couldn’t care less about the 1st amendment. And if he entered your child’s school now and saw the lack of masks, he would try to shut it down again. At that point in October, he knew good and well that he did not have the power to shut down any schools and that if he tried to, every class would reopen in backyards and it would be political suicide. Looks like his plan worked, because you’ve forgotten everything else that’s happened. I haven’t forgotten Erev YT, when Center of Town was shut down and the people who lost $ not able to sell their merchandise. Restaurants that are probably still suffering. Some here in Lakewood aren’t open anymore.

And by the way, he calls out Lakewood pretty often in his press conferences, talking about how people aren’t vaccinated enough. Just you wait, he will come after us for that soon. When he pointed fingers at Lakewood for high case rates (even though a few weeks later the 2nd wave hit the rest of the state), I was denied services by a company solely based on the fact that my zip was 08701. ‘We cant come to Lakewood because we heard on the news that you have a high Covid rate’.

That’s the guy you want to vote for.
