Kamala Melts Down – Vice President Kamala Harris struggled to answer why she has not yet visited the border with Mexico despite the ongoing illegal migrant crisis, answering that she hasn’t been to Europe yet either. She has since been facing a mountain of criticism and ridicule over the comment and her obvious inability to explain why she has stayed away.

First Muslim American Judge Confirmed – The US Senate on Thursday voted 81-16 to confirm Zahid N. Quraishi as the first ever Muslim American federal judge. Quraishi, who has been a magistrate judge since 2019, will serve in the district court for New Jersey.

Ilhan Omar Blasted for New Insane Comments – Rep. Ilhan Omar, no stranger to controversy, is facing heat yet again for new comments she made this week comparing the United States and Israel to terrorist groups Hamas and the Taliban. Omar said on Twitter that the United States and Israel have committed “atrocities” similar to the terror groups, for which she has been roundly criticized by a group of Jewish Democrats in the House of Representatives, as well as by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Senators Reach Tentative Infrastructure Deal – A group of moderate senators led by Mitt Romney of Utah have reached a tentative deal on a bipartisan infrastructure package, but it still needs to gain the support of House and Senate leadership, as well as the White House. The legislation would provide over a trillion dollars that would mostly go to classic infrastructure projects, such as repairing roads, bridges, tunnels, and waterways, but also includes funding for some liberal wish list items.

Consumer Prices Jump at Fastest Pace in 13 Years – American consumers are paying more for nearly everything as prices jumped 0.6% in May over April prices, and 5% over the last year, the biggest inflation spike since 2008. The increase in prices correlates with rising demand for goods as the US economy opens back up, which is also contending with shortages of numerous goods due to supply chain issues.
