BARUCH DAYAN HA’EMES: Harav Yitzchak Feigelstock ZT”L, Rosh Hayeshiva of Long Beach and Member of Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah [LEVAYA DETAILS]

It is with much regret that we inform you of the petirah of Hagaon Harav Yitzchak Feigelstock, the rosh hayeshiva of Mesivta of Long Beach, member of Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah, and a talmid of Rav Aharon Kotler ZT”L.

Harav Yitzchak Z”L learned in Beth Medrash Govoha under Rav Aharon Kotler in his younger years, quickly becoming one of the foremost talmidim of the Lakewood rosh yeshiva, who held him in high esteem.

Rav Yitzchak went on to found the bais medrash program at the Mesivta of Long Beach, with the yeshiva becoming one of the premier Torah institutions in America under his leadership. More than 50 years after its founding, the yeshiva remains a vibrant makom torah for hundreds of talmidim and thousands of alumni.

The levaya will take place tomorrow, Thursday, in BMG’s Bais Yitzchak bais medrash at 11 AM, with kevurah following in Lakewood.

  • A Talmid says:

There are certain people who’s affect on our lives go beyond words. There are certain peoples whose greatness defies description. There are certain people who are so beyond the level of a generation that people of the generation don’t have the ability to even glimpse.

Those of us who were Zoche to be Talmidim by the Rosh Yeshiva we’re Zoche to something that others may not be able to comprehend. To them it’s mere words, but to us it’s our everything.

And yes, the Rosh Yeshiva has been sick for many years and especially for the past while has had much less of a relationship with us (if any at all), but our lives were dictated by what the Rosh Yeshiva would’ve thought and what the Rosh Yeshiva would’ve done.

And now he’s gone to the Oilam Haemes and we are left bereft.

Oy, Reboneh Shel Olam, how much longer? Maybe this will be the last tzar and our tears will finally fill the cup that brings the geula.
