A person was killed, and three others injured when a vehicle slammed into a building and then overturned in Lakewood this evening, officials confirm to TLS.
The accident happened around 9:30 PM at the intersection of Clover Street and Cedarbridge Avenue.
Officials say it appears the person killed was ejected from the vehicle as it flipped over. According to sources, the person ejected and killed was sitting unbelted in the back seat.
The injured were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, two reportedly seriously injured. One of the building’s occupants was among the injured.
The Red Cross is assisting the family of two displaced from their apartment, providing emergency assistance for temporary lodging, food and clothing needs.
The area has been shut down for the police investigation.
