Submitted. It looks like Westgate does not have any Verizon landline service since last night.
Everyone is calling Verizon and they’re being told that they’re the first time that they know about it. I know I called early this morning and I have two tickets out for repair.
People are now being told that they can’t come and have it fixed until August 7 eighth, or ninth. We’re not getting anywhere with the customer service number.
Is there anything you can do?

Call the BPU
I called yesterday afternoon. The earliest appointment was this Thursday. I was told I am lucky. While I was waiting the earliest appointment became August 3. So they knew yesterday but Verizon doesn’t care.
I think this qualifies as an ‘Ask The Mayor’ issue. Can tge honorable Raymond G. Coles assist in getting Verizon on site pronto?
Call the FTC and complain. Every house that lost phone service should call separately. Verizon finally fixed our phone line after a week only after we called the FTC.
It sounds like it’s not an individual problem, but a neighborhood one. I think Verizon should get on this case immediately. Something is very wrong with their service. Years ago, when we had good ole reliable AT&T these things didn’t happen and problems were fixed right away. I switched to Optimum. It was cheaper than Verizon.
Use carrier pidgeons in the mean time.
