1. Must be everyone is doing laundry at once.

2. This time it may be an accident, yet their infrastructure is equivalent to a third world country. The BPU (boar of public utilities) should remove them immediately.

3. Enough of this garbage. Could we get a competent company in our area?

   In May of this year the State ordered an audit into Jersey Central. Let’s hope we get a better electric company here.

4. This is totally ridiculous already.

   Every day that goes by and the electric doesn’t go out, is a miracle!!

   This must stop now!!

5. New England Village back on at 6:08. Was that Ron B. directing traffic til the LPD arrived on James and Sunset? Thanks to whoever it was. Great job.

   • Just trying to keep the constituents in my District 26 safe. Transformer was in 26. Many thanks to the LPD officers who took over.

6. They said power would be on by 8:00. It went on about 7:50 more or less, and then went out again a few minutes later!

7. We got back power and lost it again 15 minutes later. This is like living in Nigeria!
   Called JCP&L and they said 11pm!

8. I think we need to take a step back and look at the entire situation:
   All of the new construction in Lakewood is taking a toll on the infrastructure of JCP&L. Who assesses the new construction can be added to the infrastructure without “stretching” services?
   Equipment breakdown is going to happen.
   Power goes out; things break. Weather plays a factor as well.

9. Instead of blaming the power company, cell phone provider, etc why don’t you put the blame where it belongs? The government here in Lakewood allows homes to be built anywhere and everywhere without consideration of the infrastructure already in place and the load that the new construction will place on it. Why is it that Lakewood has so many problems compared to towns around us? Same thing with the traffic issues. You drop additional vehicles on roads that weren’t built to support them and you get the daily traffic jams and accidents. Before any further construction is approved all the local services should be upgraded and roads be brought up to a drivable condition.

10. I am happy that the power was restored relatively quickly and that most of the time it was still daylight. Everyone should keep flashlights around for emergencies like these. Until the lights went back on, I was able to read with a flashlight.
