  1. It’s time we fight back on this stupidity.

Do you want to know what the real number is in New Jersey, not the garbage they’re feeding you?

    0.0000562 !!!

That is the real number. It’s very simple even for you people in Lakewood who perhaps have gone to Lakewood schools.

You take the number of people who are allegedly infected with Fauchi China Virus and divide that by the number of people in the state, 8,882,000 . It’s very very simple math.

They don’t even know if this is the Delta variant, the Charlie variant, the bravo variant, or whatever variant. They have no idea because they don’t test for those! All they know is China virus.

Unfortunately far too many people forgot how to think for themselves in the past year and a half. It’s time you people remember because otherwise the governor is going to come to your house to hold your hentalach when you do other stuff because you may have forgotten how to do that too.

WAKE UP AND START USING YOUR BRINGS!

  3. I think the State should offer 2 hour PCR tests to schools.
It’s more effective to test periodically and to send home kids who test positive, than to mandate masks and allow the virus go around through asymptomatic transmission.

  4. Dear “Cut the Garbage Already”:

My friend, I am glad to know I am not the only one who knows how to do basic math…

They want people panicking over this nonsense, when it is currently fatal to 1.3376 out of every million people (439 deaths in the US, 328.2M population est.)

It’s totally absurd…Cancer, Alzheimers, Unintentional Injury, and Doctor Error are Each more fatal to Americans than this Fauci Flu is.

    Keep fighting the good fight.

  5. Please make sure no reporter asks about the buses or that’ll be next.. besides the busing in Lakewood is a unique setup and it’s not provided by the board-of-ed so any mandae on busing should never apply – as it’s privately funded. Does anyone know the long term plan with this endemic. Trump was right when he said we have to learn to live with it. At this point the only thing we maybe should be doing is making sure the hospitals don’t get overwhelmed. We aren’t close – let’s keep the masks off and enjoy the fresh air while we can please!

  6. Cut the Garbage Already,
Despite the not-so-subtle knocking of my education, I am sorry. You obviously feel very passionately about this that you took the time to type an articulate and well-thought-out message. I can only imagine that frantic moment when you realized how autocorrect completely ruined the affect of your message, and scrambling to resubmit it.
Again, I am sorry and I fully emphatize with you.

  7. Shabbos Guy,
Like Cut the Garbage Already!, you make a good point. It certainly seems that the governor and his administration are still overreacting to a (arguably perceived) problem, rather than producing a viable proactive solution.
An important distinction must be made though between your examples of American public health concerns and Covid. All of your examples are, by definition, unavoidable. For some there are screening tests to catch it and manage it/mitigate its progression early, while the others can happen to anyone at any time. It is unfortunate, but those are the facts of the limitations of medicine. Covid on the other hand, is avoidable. Like the seasonal flu, the common cold and every other virus, if you are not exposed to it you will not get it. It is that simple. That is not to say every person who is exposed will get sick, but it becomes a possibility. One can argue that masks don’t work, children aren’t susceptible, and countless other arguments. The idea remains though, to prevent exposure to an otherwise preventable illness.
Again, I do not disagree with you, only with your choice of pathologies to illustrate it.

  8. @cut the garbage
Surprised you don’t realize the obvious reason for masking. They are leading to the huge infant fakeccine push (for a disease far less dangerous than flu, rsv etc for that age group) which they are aiming to authorize before January. Duh

  9. the covid today is no different then any flu! why then all the attention?? just let us go on living and taking care of your own personal lives, stop sticking your nose into my health and life, just like you dont dictate anyone’s lives when it comes to the flu! this all a bunch of baloney

  10. Dear Everyday Joe:

I only chose those pathologies, because the numbers in each one exceed the fatalities we are seeing from Covid, but you make a valid point.

Here are some specifics about Covid, which I mention to underscore my position:

    1. It is known that Pfizer received complete immunity from legal recourse, as part of the contract they signed with the government, when the vaccine was completely developed but before the FDA granted it an Emergency Use Authorization. The reason for this, was that efficacy rates, and long-term side effects were not known (Pfizer themselves, acknowledged this).

    2. In spite of this, Anthony Fauci, the CDC, Joe Biden, and various other political people/entities were claiming that “the vaccine is 96% effective, with minimal-no side effects”. I would ask, how can they possibly know this to be true, when the companies/scientists involved in the vaccine’s development admit that they do NOT know?

    3. Admittedly, the “official sources” are stating that the vaccine may not be effective against getting sick with, or spreading the Delta variant. If it isn’t effective, why bother taking it at all, especially when the Epsilon and Lamda variants are already spreading elsewhere (and likely to be here, and in Eretz Yisroel?

    4. In official documentation, it is referred to as an “Investigational” vaccine, which is medical-slang for “Experimental”.

    5. The government, at both the state and federal levels, have engaged in the “World’s Most Desperate Marketing Campaign”:

    “Beer and a Shot” (NJ)
“Joint and a Jab” (Long Beach, CA)
    “Vaccine Lottery” (IL and OH)

And then, there is Direct, Open Bribery:

    – Biden encouraged local governments to give $100 to people getting vaccinated.

    – Walmart is offering $75 to get it.

    – Amazon is offering $80 for those that get it.

    – Goldman Sachs was offering $1000 to their employees.

    6. “Mandatory vaccine, or you don’t have a job” – government at all levels, and some private employers are already talking about, or enacting these types of policies as a condition of employment.

    7. The NY Times maps are an “official source” of information. If you visit their website, they have (2) USA maps, and (2) Global maps showing “Covid Hotspots” and “Vaccinations”. These maps are very interesting especially India – India has a vaccination rate of 4%, a population roughly 4x the size of America’s, and generally poor sanitary conditions. How is it possible, that Covid cases are not exploding in number there? The same can be said for large parts of the African continent.

    8. Dr. Zev Zelenko: Do we even hear anything about him anymore? He should have been nominated for a Nobel Prize in Medicine, if you ask me…but his treatment protocol wasn’t even considered by the establishment…because too much money was on the line (Pfizer = $7.8B in the last quarter alone), and HCQ/Zinc are both low-cost, low-profit potential.

I respect whichever choice people want to make for themselves, regarding vaccination. However, it should be an individual choice, not a choice made because someone is bullied, threatened, intimidated, coerced, or bribed into making it.

Personally, I think the official approach to Covid is ridiculous, and this analogy best sums it up for me:

Imagine a world, where there was a 99.7% chance, that you would NOT soil your pants, but you are Forced to wear a diaper just in case…not for you, but for others.

  11. Askan4trouble-
I’m not sure you are aware but Lakewood private buses are being funded with the NJ state budget. So they will have to follow mandates. It means every tax payer in NJ is paying to bus Lakewood private school students . I read it right here on the Lakewood Scoop .

  12. It’s cute how Everyday Joe thinks he’s the adult in the room and is patiently explaining everything to us little ones.
He’s just like a government official.

  13. Chaim,
Thank you. When reading comments on The Lakewood Scoop and some other Jewish blogs, I sometimes wonder if, perhaps, I am the only adult in the room. Many of them are emotional if not completely irrational outbursts at best. It is refreshing when I see responses such as yours, Shabbos Guy’s and Cut the Garbage Already’s. It shows that there are indeed others out there capable of coherent independent thought.
I appreciate that my tone may seem condescending at times. I honestly do not intend to demean or belittle anyone. I am merely attempting to express my humble opinion to a mostly unwilling-to-listen audience. Nobody has to agree with me, and I admit I can even be wrong. But still, I try to understand both sides of an argument before formulating (and certainly voicing) an opinion. Here, I try to spell that out רחל בתך הקטנה, to make it easier for others to understand where I am coming from.
Personally, I got the vaccine. I also think that Governor Murphy is wrong about this latest policy. I said so in my response to Shabbos Guy. It is for people like Perplexed that I even bother speaking up. He/She saw me equate Covid and influenza (inasmuch as they are both viruses) and does not see a difference between them. I try to write in plain terms to avoid exactly that – though it seems for nought in Perplexed’s case.
Thank you again for being a sane voice in this vast sea of mostly passionate nonsense.

  14. Shabbos guy, you make some great points, but a few corrections.

    3. Official sources are stating that 97% of people hospitalized with Delta are unvaccinated. The number of deaths of vaccinated people from delta come out to 0.01%

    7. India is a huge hotspot for COVID. They believe that as little as 10% of the totals turned in are officially reported, and that India now has around 3.7-4.4 million deaths as of last month.
