Brooklyn woman hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in Lakewood

A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle last night in Lakewood.

The Brooklyn woman was visiting her children in Lakewood when she was struck at the intersection of Prospect Street and Williams Street around 8:00 PM.

Hatzolah transported the patient to Jersey Shore University Center with a head injury.

Area residents tell TLS they’ve been complaining about missing street lights in the area, and believe the dark street contributed to the accident.

  1. It might be very helpful, if you are planning to do some walking on a specific night, maybe wear clothing that is not so dark. A reflector is also a good idea. I am talking in general. I don’t know what this person was wearing.
On Yom Tov, a good trick for a man would be to carry his jacket on his arm and this way the cars can see his white shirt.
