A Jackson fire chief suddenly passed away after responding to a call in the Township, the department announced.
Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company # 1 Station 55 released the following statement:
It is with deep regret the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company # 1 Station 55 announces the line-of-duty death of Honorary Chief Nicholas A. Prioli. Chief Prioli had just returned from responding to a motor vehicle accident in Jackson Township when he suffered a medical emergency and passed away.
Chief Prioli was a Life Member of the department with more than 26 years of service and he currently served as the Department Safety Officer and Treasurer.
He leaves behind a large family.
