Lakewood resident mistakenly throws out $25,000 cash

A Lakewood resident has mistakenly thrown out $25,000 cash, TLS has learned.

The resident tells TLS he had the money in an envelope, which was placed inside a coat. However, for unknown reasons, the coat was recently thrown out, along with the envelope.

The distraught resident contacted local officials, but was told that unfortunately the odds of finding the cash was very slim.

He’s hoping though that an employee in the public works locates it, and returns the money.

  1. Get Menashe Miller on the case. Does anyone remember a few years ago he searched through the dumps at public works and found the lady’s rings?

  2. My heart goes out to him!
He should go through every possible think to thank Hashem for in his life and gratefulness to HKBH brings yeshuos!

  3. The bank secrecy act states it is a federal offense to possess more the $10,000 in cash at any time. The Secret Service would need to be notified if this is public information

    • I see that you missed an important news article. President Biden entered the White House about Jan. 20. His first day in office he signed a number of Executive emergencies. Actually a nice list. You may want to check that list because there is a possibility that our President decided (I mean his advisors) that this Secrecy Act must go.
