    • I just admonished a township official and told him I will do everything in my power to make sure this doesn’t happen again. I thought he was reacting pretty nicely about it when he told me, “More power to you!” But then he stared at me angrily, showed me his fist, and murmured, “It’s light out for you, my friend.” So I fled as fast as I could, tripped over a utility man in the street who was fixing the problem, causing him him to drop a few pieces of equipment, causing many more homes to be without power.
I quickly got back up on my feet and saw 2 people chasing me: the township official and the utility man, and a few dozen Lakewood residents not far behind them – all in pursuit of me. I snuck into Bagel Nosh to find a hiding place. I tried ordering a bagel, but unfortunately with no working electricity, there were no bagels. So I hid in their bathroom until the lights went back on, and then I ran home.
Definitely an electrifying experience I will never forget.
