Ocean County Republican Party Chairman Frank Holman will be stepping down from his position in June and will be replaced by Sheriff Michael Mastronardy.
“Sheriff Mastronardy is a proven leader, a strong administrator, a uniter, a man of tremendous integrity, a great ambassador to our religious communities, and a dedicated public servant.” Holman said, according to the NJ Globe. “All of which has made him a pretty popular guy. I am confident that with your help, he will lead our party to even greater success.”
Mastronardy, who recently announced his reelection bid for a fourth term as Ocean County sheriff, will keep his current position while also serving as GOP Chairman for Ocean County.
He has to get elected by the County Committee. He doesn’t just get appointed to the position.
You are correct. Sherrif Mastronardy will be running for the Ocean County Chairman position with Holmans endorsement in June. TLS should please fix the headline.
Thank G-d Holman is gone. He was a total disaster. Not to mention that he only won by 25 votes and Lakewood voted for him 33-1 delivering him the victory. He did nothing for our community in return.
