A Jackson woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Jackson this evening.

The accident happened shortly after 9:00 PM on White Road.

Upon arrival, Hatzolah members found the woman unresponsive. She was pronounced at the scene.

The woman was identified as Sabrina Ben-Porat A”H. She’s in her fifties.

TLS has learned that Sabrina A”H was a therapist and social worker and was a long-time supervisor at CHEMED in Lakewood.

Police are investigating.

(Note: Though the woman was pronounced at the scene, TLS refrained from publishing it due to the fact that the husband was overseas, and the family was not notified until some time after the incident.)

UPDATE: The Levaya for Mrs. Sabrina Ben-Porat A”H is scheduled to take place at 3:30 PM at the 7th Street Chapel in Lakewood, with Kevurah in Eretz Yisroel.

  3. Sabrina was a wonderful woman, counselor and fellow employee. I always had utmost respect for her and her abilities at Chemed. My heart is broken for her and her family. My prayers go up for her.

  4. Dear Sabrina,
I can’t believe you are no more amongst the living. When the call came from Chemed letting me know that there was sad news my first thought was that she moved on and away from Chemed. To say I was shocked when they told me about her demise is an understatement. I bawled my head off. I can’t believe I won’t see your beautiful face anymore! Your kindness and caring nature came through in each of our sessions. I saw you last a week ago and I was going to see you this Wednesday.
    I am Heartbroken.
May Your Neshama have an Aliya and May Your Dear Family have a
    Nechama!!!!!!
