VIDEO & PHOTOS: Historic evening of Building, as Yeshiva Stolin Karlin Prepares to “Complete Magnificent Home for Torah”

Tuesday evening found hundreds of parents, grandparents, friends, and supporters of Yeshiva Stolin Karlin in Lakewood gathered at the Vasar Ballrooom.

It was an evening of reflection upon the incredible growth of the yeshiva, which was established only seven years ago with a handful of talmidim.

In its young history, the yeshiva has gained a name —throughout Lakewood and beyond—as a unique mossad that fuses Torah with a chassidishe bren that Stolin is known for. The strong emphasis on excellence in Torah is undergirded by the simcha and the fire in every Mitzvah, in every word of Torah and Tefilah.

This reputation has resulted in incredible demand, and the enrollment of the yeshiva has ballooned—making a new building an absolute necessity.

The yeshiva has embarked on a monumental $15,000,000 building project—with siyatta diShmaya every step of the way—to give their precious talmidim a magnificent home for Torah.

As the project stands in its finishing stages, its parents, grandparents, friends and supporters are galvanizing in a campaign to bring this magnificent building to its completion, and gathered for a historic and uplifted evening to launch this campaign.

One of the highlights of the evening was an emotionally-charged vocal production, led by the renowned Motti Ilowitz, Yedidim Choir, and talmidim of the yeshiva–moving reflections on the past history of the yeshiva fused with echoes of hope and anticipation for this incredible milestone that is coming to fruition before our very eyes.

The outpouring of chizuk from so many who love and admire the yeshiva, and the energy for building Torah that permeated the room that evening, is indescribable.

The dinner was addressed by Rabbi Yonason Sanders, dean of Bais Tova, who lauded the unique dedication of those supporting Yeshiva Stolin Karlin, and expressed his deep admiration for what the yeshiva has managed to accomplish in such a short time.

Rabbi Elisha Gottdiener, executive director and driving force behind the yeshiva and this monumental project, said, “we remain deeply moved by the outpouring of support and togetherness, and the announced goals that were undertaken this evening.

“As we move into the campaign itself, we know that it will be with overwhelming siyatta diShmaya and with the togetherness of thousands who care for the success of the yeshiva, and to see this citadel of Torah towering on Lakewood’s Torah landscape.”
