FIRST REPORT: Summer Food Boxes Likely to Continue in Lakewood

The summer food box distribution will likely continue in Lakewood, TLS has learned.

Last week, TLS published an article about the extension of food waivers, prompting many to inquire about summer boxes.

According to Attorney Michael Inzelbuch, the Keep Kids Fed  recently passed by Congress and signed into law  along with guidance issued today ,very likely will allow for free breakfast and lunches to be served 5 days per week this coming summer, with an increase in reimbursement fees to providers .

TLS was in constant contact with Attorney Inzelbuch regarding the boxes, and moments ago he told TLS, “my preliminary opinion is that this will allow for boxes to be distributed to all children who desperately need meals in Lakewood.”

Additional information will be published when confirmed.
