Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Madison Ave in Lakewood [PHOTOS]

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Madison Avenue in Lakewood this evening.

The accident happened at the intersection of Madions Avenue and 10th Street around 6:30 PM.

The victim is reportedly a teen.

Hatzolah is treating the patient and will be transporting him to JSUMC.

  2. This is very sad.
    I agree with “outsider looking in”, this is a 12 month situation.
    I live in Lakewood; thus, I drive to/from work and do all my errands in this area.
    As we drive, we all need to be more diligent. As the traffic congestion increases, it seems patience of drivers and pedestrians decreases.
    We all need to obey traffic rules. Stop signs mean to actually Stop.
    Crosswalk signs need to be obeyed. No turn on red means no turn on red.
    As the weather turns nice; more pedestrians are out, more bikes, more scooters and more motorized devices are being used. Driving thru town yesterday, many pedestrians cut thru stopped traffic, bike riders did the same thing. It is hard enough to safely drive thru town, and then add on that people being irresponsible.
    Please, everyone think about the rules and be safe.
