UPDATE: In Response to TLS’s Ask The Mayor Column, Drop Off Center Hours Extended for Lakewood Residents

Phil Roux, the Lakewood Township director of Public Works, has announced that Public Works is extending the hours of the Public Works Resident Drop Off Center, 1 America Way, Lakewood, beginning July 5, 2022.

The Township Drop Off Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, until September 2, 2022. After that, the Drop Off Center will close at 3:00 p.m.

Typical drop off items include cardboard, electronics, excess plastic and glass, furniture, etc.  A box is available or clothing and shoe donations.

Prohibited items include paint; household chemicals; commercial construction and/or demolition materials; large amounts of wood, cabinets, drywall, sheetrock, plaster and concrete. All materials brought to the Drop Off Center can be denied at the discretion of its management.
